Below are links for additional information
Committee members are very excited and eagerly planning this convention with the goal of providing a memorable experience for all who attend. Our commitment as Catholic Daughters is to continually do the work of Jesus Christ, which we can accomplish with the gifts we receive from the Holy Spirit. It was Barbara Barnes’ goal to make the CDA courts in Colorado more spiritual and prayerful, working together for the glory of God. I am asking each of you to, please, seriously consider attending this convention so that by working, worshiping, and praying together as sisters in Christ, we may achieve Barbara’s vision.
Registration Fees: Delegates = $60, Alternates & Attendees = $45 and One-Day Registrants = $40.
Attendance: All CDA members are invited and encouraged to attend the State Convention. In addition to delegate and alternate seating, there will be areas for members to observe convention proceedings. Spouses and guests are invited to attend all liturgies and convention activities except the business meetings

Delegates and Alternates: Expenses to the state convention may be paid by the court. Delegates and Alternates are elected, not appointed. It is wise to elect all the delegates and alternates to which your court is entitled, even if it appears that they cannot attend. Things may change and delegates are able to attend after all. Courts instituted after September 30, 2022 will be entitled to send only the Regent or her alternate as a delegate to the convention. Dues and Assessments. Reminder, to be eligible to serve as a delegate or alternate you must be a member in good standing with all dues paid. Also, your court must be up-to-date with state and national dues as well.
Circle of Love, Website and Newsletter contests to the appropriate State Chairman no later than March 1st, 2023.
Memorial Service for Deceased Members: The Memorial Service will be conducted by the Past Regent’s Club. More information will be sent as it becomes
available. Bylaw Amendments: Local courts may submit proposed amendments to the CDA Bylaws. Any proposed bylaw amendments approved at the State Convention must be sent to the National Committee for final presentation at the 2024 National Convention. Local courts must vote on a proposed bylaw amendment at a local court meeting. Submit proposed bylaw amendments to the State Regent by April 15, 2023.
Convention Sales: There will be CDA apparel, jewelry and other items available for purchase during this convention.
Installation Mass: The Installation Mass will follow the 10am Mass on Sunday, June 11, 2023 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 790 26-1/2 Road, Grand Junction, CO 81506.
Scrapbooks: A table will be set up for those courts wishing to share their scrapbooks/photo albums. Courts are encouraged to bring their scrapbooks to the convention for display.
Door Prizes: Each court is asked to bring two wrapped door prizes with the court’s name and city attached, to be drawn throughout the convention. At this Convention, the Host Court Mount of the Holy Cross #941 will be selling their convention cookbook and will hold a silent auction.
2025 State Convention Bids: Representatives from courts interested in hosting the 2025 Colorado State Convention should come to the convention prepared to make a bid for the convention. Notify the State Regent of your intention to bid by April 15, 2023, so the bid submissions can be placed on the agenda.
Remember, you do not have to be a delegate or an alternate to attend the convention. Court 941 has been hard at work to ensure that everyone has a memorable, spiritual and exciting time with lots of fun events and good food at a beautiful venue. I would recommend all courts hold a fundraiser or two to help offset the cost of attendance so that anyone interested in joining in this exciting time, may do so. May God bless you always, Linda Peck Colorado State Regent Catholic Daughters of the Americas
